Our Story
Belair Middle was established in 2024. Since then, our school has grown our students through academic and social engagement. Students who attend Belair Middle reside near our school and live within the Richmond County School District. Students within our school zone have previously attended Sue Reynolds Elementary School, Copeland Elementary School, Belair Elementary School, and Langford Middle School.
- Our school features a solar farm comprised of over one thousand tempered glass panels that allow our school to be fully sustainable on a cool, sunny day. This also gives our students and the surrounding community first-hand exposure to renewable energy technologies and sustainability.
- We are dedicated to becoming a STEAM certified school, to providing educational experiences in an interdisciplinary and applied approach.
Our Points of Pride
- We are the 2025-2026 Richmond County Football and Basketball Champions.
- We are a 1:1 school. Students in Grades 6-8 have laptops for individual use during the instructional day and for use at home for school-related work.
- We have TWO Wi-Fi enabled covered Outdoor Learning Pavilions
- We have a Collaborative Learning Room/Makerspace that will easily accommodate two full classes of students
- Middle school sports: Baseball, softball, basketball (boys’ and girls’ teams), cheerleading, football, volleyball, golf, and track & field (boys’ and girls’ teams)

College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) is Georgia’s statewide accountability system. The CCRPI assesses how well students are prepared for college and careers, and ensures that schools are focused on improving achievement among all students. The index measures student achievement on indicators such as content mastery, student growth on progress, subgroup performance on closing gaps, and various areas including Lexile performance, attendance, and other academic based measurements. Schools earn CCRPI points based on indicators that vary by grade and school level and align with measures of college- and career-readiness. Each individual component score is on a scale of 0-100.
